A Rural Institution Advancing with Purpose
Founded in 1982, Sri Mruthunjaya Shivacharya First Grade College of Arts & Commerce was established to make quality higher education accessible to students from Honnali and its surrounding rural communities.
The college was created with a clear social purpose: to help rural youth build academic knowledge, personal confidence, and meaningful pathways toward employment, public service, and responsible citizenship.
Named in revered memory of His Holiness Sri Sha. Bra. Lingaikya Wodeyar Mruthunjaya Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, the institution continues under the guidance of Sri Channappaswamy Vidyapeetha, Hirekalmatha, and the spiritual leadership of His Holiness Sri Sha. Bra. Wodeyar Chandrashekhara Shivacharya Mahaswamiji.
